Engineering the Future: Meet Nicolas Garcia 🔬

At Delta Life Science, innovation is driven by the people behind the technology. As such, we want to take more time to highlight the people working in our company and how to elevate the company. This time, we’re discussing Nicolas Garcia, our Project Manager, who plays a key role in bringing ground-breaking biosensing solutions to the market.
With an MSc in Biotechnology and a passion for early vertebrate development, Nicolas has contributed to key research on gene regulation pathways during early development—an area he still finds fascinating today.   As a project manager, Nicolas leads a team of engineers working on cutting-edge biosensing technology, ensuring it moves from concept to reality. His day starts early, working on the train from Utrecht to the office. This quiet time allows him to organize tasks, finalize pending items, and focus on deep work before the day picks up speed.   Mornings at Delta kick off with “coffee time”, where the team shares a laugh before diving into the day’s challenges. To efficiently function within his role, Nicolas balances planned and ad-hoc meetings to keep projects moving forward. With the launch of the inQuiQ, and another version in development, adaptability is key. He ensures roadblocks are addressed and decisions are made efficiently, while always keeping a bit of buffer time in his schedule to tackle unexpected challenges.   His day winds down much like it started—on the train—where he gets one last focused session to wrap up tasks and ensure no loose ends before the next day begins.   What drives him at Delta? The people and culture. “The vibe within the team is extremely nice, everyone is approachable, and you are constantly learning about really complex stuff.”   Join us in celebrating Nicolas and his contributions to science and innovation!   #EmployeeSpotlight #DeltaLifeScience #BiotechInnovation #EngineeringTheFuture
